A guest of mine says every year she stays at the Comfort Inn on Clifton Hill and the front desk told her they will be closing after Thanksgiving and will be torn down. I checked the website and notice they are not taking any room reservations after Oct 11. I wonder what they are planning…

A quick update on Paramount, it looks to me they are open. They took over the Falls n Firkin location. Here is a photo of the outside of the restaurant I grabbed from their website.
Here is some more in-depth information from the local paper about the new brewery on Clifton Hill. Sounds like it will be quite large. Also, it’s nice to see they are finally removing the Pile Driver, which has been sitting idle for too long. Niagara Falls Review Article
Falls Avenue Resort will be launching a new restaurant experience – The Niagara Brewing Company. This will be the first craft brewery in the immediate area, and has brew master Gord Slater at the helm. The WORKS, a popular burger restaurant will be opening this year on Victoria Ave. The closest operating location is one city over in St. Catharines, and is very successful.
