As an actor, Peter Mayhew has been a part of one of the most successful film franchises of all time.
But you may not recognize him if you met him on the street.
Mayhew, of course, is best known to Star Wars fans as Chewbacca, Han Solo’s wookie sidekick. Fans will get a chance to see the man behind all that hair and makeup when he makes a rare Canadian appearance in Niagara Falls later this year, when Niagara Falls Comic Con takes over the Scotiabank Convention Centre from June 2 to 4.
“There’s no question that Star Wars is hands down the most popular film series of all time, so we couldn’t be more excited to land one of the more well known characters from the movie franchise,” said Chris Dabrowski, Comic Con’s show manager. “This will be a real treat for Star Wars fans of the original and new movies.”
