New Year’s Eve at Niagara Falls was not only a ratings blockbuster, it was also one of the best nights ever for businesses in the area.
“From what I understand, all the hotels sold out,” said Sarah Vazquez, vice-president of business development and marketing for Canadian Niagara Hotels.
“Talking to the other hoteliers, they all saw a really good New Year’s Eve. I can’t wait for next year’s lineup.”
Canadian Niagara Hotels owns and operates several hotels in the Fallsview Blvd. and Falls Ave. area near Queen Victoria Park, where the free New Year’s Eve concert was held.
“There was lots of hustle and bustle. I would say the city certainly saw growth. New Year’s Eve is always a fantastic night, (the destination has) always been top of mind. This was one of the best ever.”
