From the Buffalo News:
The Vincentian virtue of charity as taught at Niagara University helped James V. Glynn become a successful businessman, as well as president and owner of one of the world’s most popular tourist attractions — the Maid of the Mist boat ride at the base of Niagara Falls.
Monday, it was Glynn’s turn to “give back” some of his fortune to his alma mater and to those who are less fortunate.
Glynn and his wife, Mary, and their family donated $2 million to establish the Vincentian Scholars Program, among other initiatives at the university.
I can’t imagine he’ll be doing anything similar on this side any time soon.
