    1. Good find Drafty! Although the article doesn’t mention Niagara Falls at all (which seems like a pretty big oversight), I would agree that the one here is probably dead. I also wonder how that would affect Marineland. If people want rides, they go to Canada’s Wonderland. If they want whales and dolphins, the closest thing is Marineland. If this other one actually goes ahead, what happens to Marineland? Do they push ahead with their expansion to keep up? Do they die a slow death (probably unlikely)?

  1. I’ve been to the Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach. It is very different than Marineland. It is totally indoors with walk through exhibits and some hands on things, but no shows per se and no whales or dolphins (sharks instead). I don’t think that they will really compete that much.

  2. I heard this on the Fan 590 this morning and they had no idea that Ripley’s was even involved in these kind of projects. So obviously they have no idea that this was first proposed along with the GWL here in Niagara. Another disappointing set back for Niagara Falls.
