Two weeks ago they brought in their trailers, last week they started to install the perimeter fencing around the entire work site, and this week they have begun excavating the land for the new Niagara Convention & Civic Center.

Hilton tops out!
The Hilton has recently topped out with their new cupola, it is a domed band shell-shaped feature that will be the hotel’s crown. In their renderings they also show a flag pole, so that may actually be the official pinnacle when it is completed, but this has more of an inspiration.
Prepping for the new Convention Center
I noticed the other day that they have started running the piping down to the new Convention Center site along Livingstone Street, and the company doing the work on the new convention Center (Bondfield Construction) now have a couple of their trailers on site. We’ll keep you updated!
