The work that has been done at Little Caesars and the stores beside it to make them bigger is almost done. The new windows are in place and yesterday (after I took the picture) the sidewalk was finished. The storefront seems to be out 6-10 feet from where it was originally. There is still lots of cosmetic work to be done, but it’s getting there.

I came across this picture today:

The photographer describes it this way:
Interesting how you can move about and make things appear differently than they are. My photography class took a trip to Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls and we took hundreds of very good images. I liked this one in which the King Kong statue at the Ripley exhibit seems to be climbing the Ferris wheel some distance away. Clifton Hill may be tacky but it’s a goldmine for photographers.
Visit his site for a much larger version of the picture, as well as a few more pictures around Niagara Falls.
I’m not sure how long this place has been open for, but yesterday I noticed a little store that sells tea on Victoria Avenue. It doesn’t look very impressive, but I’m not a tea drinker, so I don’t know what the demand is.

I don’t know what it looks like inside (there is still construction going on), but there is now a sign on the outside of the Fallsview Casino for Shoeless Joe’s:

So, this was the Travelodge Near the Falls, then Lodge Near the Falls, then Country Hearth Inn & Suites, and now Lodge Near the Falls again. Make up your mind!

It looks like the new Fudge Factory on Clifton Hill is almost ready to open. Most of the signs are up (it looks like a big one is still to come) and they are starting to stock the store.

Last Monday I received a newsletter from the Travelodge at the Falls on Clifton Hill. They are offering a special weekday rate for April.

Another in my series on keycards…
I found this card on the ground and assume it is for the Days Inn & Suites by the Falls. It is a very plain card, similar to the generic card the Quality Inn Clifton Hill uses.

As requested by Karen, here are a couple of pictures of Niagara Falls being lit with the colours of Virginia Tech:

You will recall that last week I emailed the Niagara Clifton Group asking about the new Bronto’s Adventure Playland. I received a reply on Saturday (3 days after my original email) from Debbie Graham, Director of Attractions:
Thank you very much for your interest in our new attraction. We are anticipating an opening in late July. We have not determined our pricing as of yet but I believe we will be priced similar to our other attractions which are currently in the range of $6.99 – $10.99. The attraction will be located next to the Haunted House. We are in the process of updating our website to include information about Bronto’s Adventure Playland. Please check www.falls.com for updates as we post them.
I just checked the Falls.com web site again, and there is still no information.
