U.S. or Canada: Which offers best view of Niagara?

From the Dallas Morning News:

Canada and upstate New York glare at each other through the mists of Niagara Falls. Each side thinks it’s the better pick for viewing the cascade, for fun things to do, casinos, parks, hotels and food.

Here’s a report card to help you decide who’s right.

  • I think the sheer number of tourists speaks for itself.

  • For ‘Eats and Sleeps’, NFNY wins? I don’t think so.

  • I have to say Canadian side all the way. Better places to stay, more to do and a better view.

  • B- for Canadian for Food?

Did this guy even go to the Canadian side?

Canada has great Canadian Restaurants and many of the more popular and famous American restaurants that the US side could only dream of having. Maybe the guy who wrote that article was thinking of the Niagara Falls Arby’s with the old fashion sign with all the lights out that should read Slow Roasted Beef but at night reads Slow as ed Bee.
The one thing that Canada is missing (and used to have) is a Ponderosa. Mmmmmmmmmmm Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm buffet good!

  • I do think that the US side has a great view of the Falls. Niagara Falls State Park is beautiful and you can get close to the Falls in a couple of areas. I probably think it is nicer there than in Canada. Other than that, the Canadian side has way more to do, see and eat. It’s almost an unfair question to ask.
