Beating cancer, one step at a time

    From the Niagara Falls Review:

There are 660 steps to the top of the Skylon Tower and as Dave Low climbs up everyone of them year after year, he can’t help but think of the people he has lost to cancer as well as the people who are still around to fight it.

Low is in his fourth year as chair of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Stair Climb for Cancer. Saturday marks the 16th year for the climb up the Skylon and Low has been a part of every one — climbing, raising money and helping to organize the event which has raised more than $600,000 for the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society.
