Convention centre helps city’s case for People Mover

From Niagara This Week:

A new People Mover system in the city could be the final piece in a puzzle which makes Niagara Falls truly a destination, says Coun. Wayne Thomson. And the former mayor wants to make sure the federal government doesn’t intend to pull support from that project to give to another.

The People Mover is a project the city has been working on as a rubber tire or rail transit system linking its tourism and retail districts.

Good god they’ve been mulling this over for 30 years. Get it done already and stop “looking into it”. Thompson himself had ample opportunity to get this done while he was mayor and did sweet f*ck all about it. As somone who worked on those NPC people mover buses that run in the park almost 16 years ago i can tell you they are quite outdated. Back then they spent more time getting fixed than they did on the road, i can only imagine how they are now.
