From the Niagara Falls Review:
After about 40 years of providing a panoramic view of everything Niagara Falls has to offer, the Falls Tower Ride - previously known as the Spiral Tower - will be permanently coming down this week.
The removal of the tourist attraction is a part of Harry Oakes’ redevelopment plan. Oakes, president of HOCO Entertainment and Resorts, owns attractions along the south side of Clifton Hill…
“The tower (which was built in the mid-1960s) can hold 16 people. The Skywheel can carry 240 people,” said Oakes.
