I generally wouldn’t put this sort of thing on the blog, but I drive or walk by this billboard regularly and it bugs me. It’s for Mints, an “adult entertainment club” on Main Street. The part that bugs me is the line at the top of the billboard:
Better Odds Than The Casino Baby
What does that mean? Of course I know what it is supposed to mean, but I still think it is dumb. You have better odds that you’ll run into a woman who has no interest in you? Better odds that you will lose even more money than at the casino? Better odds that you won’t see the woman on the billboard? Better odds that your wife/girlfriend won’t let you go? Better odds that you won’t take your kids in?
Niagara Falls has several of these places, and they all seem to have billboards right near family-friendly destinations. As you can see in this billboard, it is right above another billboard for the Rainforest Cafe and their free shark exhibit.

Id be lying if I said I have not been to any of these places in Niagara Falls. Then again, this was a few years ago, I was younger and usually came up with quite a few of my buddies, so it is the normal thing to do. I saw this billboard a few months ago (if its the same one) when I came up on my trip, and was pretty shocked it was up. I dont think putting this up in a area so family friendly is a wise move at all.
It’s called Humour, get a sense of it.
I think we all have a sense of humour, but I really doubt they are trying to be funny with the billboard.
Humour is subjective i suppose, i don’t see anything wrong with the billboard.
