I’ve mentioned previously that the Golden Griddle that is part of the Imperial Hotel & Suites is now open. It looks quite nice. They have beautiful hanging baskets hanging around the patio, and they have fresh signs on the awning as well as on the side of the building (that’s what the red letters are). For the time being, they also have a Golden Griddle cat (or whatever that thing is) balloon on the roof.

But did you notice that if you want to eat there but not stay there parking at the hotel is $10.00 unless you can get a spot on the street then I believe it is $1 and hour.
golden griddle seems to be a ripoff…we used to enjoy it at the old location when we stayed there..we accepted the prices as toursity..like anything in the falls..they recently opened one here in hamilton. before mother’s day..they advertised $10.99 buffet breakfast on weekends..for mother’s day..it was $14.99…can’t be much more obvious in price gouging than that! we stayed at the hilltop on the hill thurs-sat this past week..canada day stuff ..the skywheel and the new gift shop is AWESOME!..and the soccer made for a GREAT time on boston pizza’s patio (our favorite hangout)..timmy’s was great for coffe and bagels for breakfast..enjoyed it on the hotel balcony overlooking the hill and people watching..we’re goin back on the 24th
