From the Niagara Falls Review:
It was “business as usual” at the city’s two casinos Wednesday, the first day of the province’s smoke-free legislation which made it illegal to smoke in any public building in Ontario - including previously exempted gaming halls.
“Attendance seems to be the same,” Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. spokeswoman Teresa Roncon said of the number of patrons who tried their luck at Casino Niagara and the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort Wednesday.
Although she did not have attendance figures available for Niagara’s two casinos, Roncon said reports from Falls Management Company indicated there was little difference between Wednesday’s attendance and any other mid-week day.
