Galaxy Golf almost ready to open

Galaxy Golf looks like it will be open soon. They’ve done a lot of work on the sidewalk around the side of the building, with the ticket booth, and with the signage:

The front booth and entrance are nearly completion.

The hole near the entrance looks like a dragon
(it used to be an Egyption Pharoah)

Someone was drawing an outline to something while I was there

The sign looks a little goofy to me. It just doesn’t say “Galaxy Golf” to me (although that’s what it says)

Niagara SkyWheel gondolas

The wheel of the Niagara SkyWheel has been up for weeks, and it didn’t look like they were making much progress. Well, today they are putting the gondolas up:

They aren’t all up yet, but given the speed with which they are going up, if they aren’t all up by the end of the day, then by tomorrow for sure.

Falls tourism group presses pride

From the Buffalo News:

Encouraging the city’s business community to have more pride and welcome visitors more effectively is the aim of a new campaign by the Niagara Falls Tourism Advisory Board.

The group is holding a design competition for a logo and slogan to be in the PRIDE Campaign for T-shirts and signs in businesses throughout the city that promise to supply accurate information to tourists and encourage their employees to answer visitors’ questions.

“We have to bring pride back into Niagara Falls,” Genova said. “Even if it’s one question at a time.”
