Regular visitor Lisa from Rochester emailed me some information. She called the Imperial Hotel & Suites:
Imperial Hotel is shooting for the Golden Griddle to open next week. Parking is free for Guests but $5.00 if you are not staying there.
She also called the Quality Inn Clifton Hill:
Galaxy Golf and Canada Trading there is no listed date to be opening. But, Skywheel is projected to open on 6/17

I previously posted a picture of the sign on the side of the Galaxy Golf building. Yesterday or today they put up a sign over the ticket booth. It’s a large golf ball coming out of the building with flames beside it. You can also see that they’ve done more work on the artwork/mural on the side of the building.
I was out for a walk at lunch, just after we had a hard, sudden downpour. As I walked down Clifton Hill they had the Niagara SkyWheel turning very quickly. I was quite surprised it could move that fast. I doubt that is the normal speed. They were obviously doing some testing as they started and stopped the wheel numerous times, reversed direction, and turned at different speeds. I even saw a couple of people in one of the gondolas with the door opened adjusting something on the legs.
They are also finishing up on the plaza area. I’ve already taken pictures of the Clifton Hill side, and they are now working on the greenery by the driveway:
As I said, it has just rained, so it was fairly dark out with lots of clouds, but I’ve taken a couple of shots of the wheel:
