Wacky Wings sports bar

I don’t know if the bar formerly known as Route 66 ever really opened. It always looked empty. Well, it has reopened with a new name, Wacky Wings. It’s located on Ferry Street, right beside Tony Roma’s.

Wacky Wings is also the home of blues music in Niagara Falls. Every friday nite the Blooze Hounds bring progessive Blues music. and Invite other blues musicans and lovers of blues to come out and jam or enjoy the sounds This is the only blues spot in Niagara Falls . A good nite for visitors to the falls.

Was there on the weekend. Wow!! What a great new place. Do yourselves a favour and get down there. The food is incredible, reasonably priced, and they have I think 80 flavors of wings! Keep it up Wacky Wings!!

I was just down there for the weekend and checked this place out on Friday.

It was pretty good. The wings were fantastic. However there were two bad things.

#1) The washrooms. They are too small and the doors don’t close. Upstairs it looks brand new, but downstairs it looks like it was from the 80’s.

#2) The bad cover band playing there on the Friday. There is nothing more annoying than 4 guys in a midlife crisis covering songs to relive their youth. Who ever decided having live entertainment IN A SPORTS BAR when THERE IS SPORTS ON (Toronto Rock game) is an idiot. If I wanted music, I would go to a night club.

I have to disagree with above. The band on Friday is awesome!!! Having live entertainment in a sports bar is cool with me. The tv’s are on and the tunes are rockin’. Also, they have full sound on the tv’s in the back pool room if you need it. By the way, who the hell watches the Toronto Rock???? Saturday nights the Leaf game is on in full sound, then a solo singer comes on, it’s great check it out, you won’t be disappointed. I do agree however that the basement is a little 80’s, but I did find it very clean and had no problems with the size of the bathrooms.

Keep rockin’ Wacky Wings and see you all next time I am in town.
