As I mentioned previously, the Victoria Avenue Beer Garden is now open. And as was mentioned in a previous comment, the sign is up. The sign calls it the Victoria Beer Patio.

From Niagara This Week: Two former regional councillors have been appointed to the Niagara Parks Commission board. Bart Maves, a former Niagara Falls councillor, and April Jeffs, former mayor of Wainfleet, were appointed to the commission Jan. 31 by the Progressive Conservative government. They will each serve a three-year term.

Another in my series on keycards… I recently found this room keycard for a Sheraton hotel. I don’t know if this was for the Sheraton on the Falls or the Four Points by Sheraton (it’s probably not from the Sheraton at the Falls as that is in the US, but you never know).
I noticed the other day that they have started running the piping down to the new Convention Center site along Livingstone Street, and the company doing the work on the new convention Center (Bondfield Construction) now have a couple of their trailers on site. We’ll keep you updated!
