This past weekend was beautiful! It was kind of hot, but the sky was clear and blue. While I was out and around on Saturday, I was by Clifton Hill and Marineland (to take a video of the Topple Tower which I’ll post tomorrow. Here are a couple of pictures that show you how great a day it was on Saturday:

This is the place where you pet the deer at Marineland. Other than that small cloud, the sky was perfectly blue when I was there.

This picture of the Niagara SkyWheel was taken from the Skylon Tower side of the wheel.
This is kind of a holiday weekend in Canada. The so-called “Civic Holiday” isn’t a statutory holiday, but many people still get it off. There must have been a lot of people around. On Saturday afternoon as I was driving out of Niagara Falls, highway 420 was backed up from Stanley Avenue all the way to the QEW. I also heard that yesterday was very busy in the evening, especially after the fireworks.
Yesterday was a beautiful Spring day, and today is just as nice. I took my camera with me as I walked around Clifton Hill, the Parkway, and Murray Hill and took these pictures:

The flowers along the parkway in Queen Victoria Park are in full bloom:

You’d almost think that Greg Frewin was performing today. The Falls have entirely disappeared!

Yesterday was cool and rainy in the morning and then it warmed up in the afternoon. Today is quite warm, and so there is fog over the water, but no where else. Walking along Queen Victoria Park is as clear as anything. The fog in the gorge is so thick that you can’t see any of the waterfalls at all!
With all of the nice weather we’ve been having over the last few days, the daffodils are starting to sprout along Queen Victoria Park!

From the Niagara Falls Review:
Anyone brave enough to stroll around the base of the Skylon Tower while the winter wind still blows has only the frigid temperatures to fear.
No falling ice.
“We’re clear. We have no ice whatsoever,” said Walt Scozzafava, maintenance manager for the Skylon Tower.
Today is the last day of my first week of daily features (did you follow that?). Every Friday I plan on showcasing some pictures of Niagara Falls. I expect that half of the time it will be pictures that I have taken and posted to my gallery, and the other half of the time will be links to other sites with Niagara Falls images.
I actually thought I’d be a late with this gallery. Last Wednesday we had a brutal snow storm and we ended up with over a foot of snow in one day. I was out the following day and took pictures of all of the snow. But then it warmed up over the weekend and we lost a lot of the snow. Then, wouldn’t you know it, it snowed again last night, so the pictures are still timely. I’ve posted a Niagara Falls in Winter 2007 image gallery. Here is a preview of some of the thumbnails:

Wow! If you live in the northeast area of North America, you were probably hit by a lot of snow. I don’t know the exact number, but it looks like Niagara Falls got about a foot of snow. Today is a much clearer and brighter day. I’ll try to get out and take some pictures and/or a video.
I’ve been playing around a bit today with putting a short video on YouTube. I hope to put better videos up in the future, but to start with I have a short video of the Falls and the Niagara Parkway.
