The FX Ride Theatre inside the Great Canadian Midway appears to be gone (although it still shows up on the Clifton Hill web site). The booth that was in the midway is gone, and the facade is gone.
I haven’t included any articles about this, but you may have heard that Jack’s Cantina burned down. This was a small restaurant beside Spicy Olive, on Centre St (at the top of Clifton Hill) at the corner of Ellen Ave. It burned down while I was on vacation. Here is what it looks like now….

There is some scaffolding up outside Antica Pizza on Victoria Avenue. The work has come along since I took this picture. I’m not positive, but it seems that they will be moving the front door.
Back in February (wow, time flies!) I posted a Notice of Application and Public Meeting at Ma Agretto’s. They were trying to eliminate parking requirements for a new restaurant. Well, recently the place had a fence around it, it was torn down, and now there is just a hole in the ground!
I have no idea is the hotel is closing for good, or if this is all they were doing, but the part of the hotel beside where the pool used to be was recently torn down.
On Victoria Avenue next to the former Little Caesars location, there used to be an Italian restaurant. Then it became a Chinese food restaurant. Then it became a kosher restaurant. Then it became an all day breakfast buffet. Now it is gutted. I wonder what is going in their next.
Dino Rampage, the ride simulator on Victoria Avenue has been closed for a while, but just the other day they finally took down the signs and the t-rex head. I had meant to go and give it a try, but never did. I wonder what is going into that space…
