Niagara Falls names panel to lead 125th anniversary observance

From the Buffalo News:

City Historian Elaine Timm was named chairwoman of a committee that will organize this year’s events to mark the 125th anniversary of Niagara Falls becoming a city in 1892.

The city was incorporated on March 17, 1892, and the city will mark that date in conjunction with the Ancient Order of Hibernians’ annual St. Patrick’s Day event in the Niagara Falls Conference and Events Center.

A Facebook page, NF125 Anniversary Committee, will be used to announce upcoming events and contests, and to share historical information. Residents also may use the page to suggest community events.
