Gingerbread house adds holiday touch to Falls culinary institute

From the Niagara Gazette:

A life-size gingerbread house and an assortment of holiday cookies waiting to be iced are among the events being held in the lobby of the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.

The holiday-themed attraction was created inside the institute to encourage visitors to celebrate the season.

“We’re a community college,” said Mark Mistriner, business and hospitality division chairman at Niagara County Community College. “We feel we should give back to the community with things to do at the holidays that are relatively free for everybody.”

While the lobby is open daily, weekend events are planned through Dec. 23.
