From the Niagara Falls Review:
John Kinney’s hopes for a liquor licence to get his dinner cruises underway on this side of the Niagara River have been dashed.
He was counting on complaints from residents being thrown out at a preheating held last week, but instead, an October date has been set for a hearing before a tribunal of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario for Niagara Sunset Cruises.
The goal of a preheating is to resolve issues through discussions between an applicant and those who are objecting to the granting of a licence, but that didn’t happen, said Queenston resident Marilyn Armstrong, who was at the informal meeting as one of the objectors.
