According to a survey commissioned by the Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation, the economic impact of Nik Wallenda’s walk across Niagara Falls was immense.
Niagara University’s Hospitality Training and Research Center interviewed close to 600 people throughout Prospect Park and Old Falls Street.
In the nine hours leading up to the walk, they asked about everything from how much money visitors spent, to how long they planned to stay. The total economic impact was $3.3 million.
