From the Niagara Falls Review:
It’ll be a loud gathering of techno and electronic music going until nearly dawn. Just don’t call it a rave.
For two decades, the free televised concert down at Queen Victoria Park has been synonymous with New Year’s Eve in Niagara Falls. But there’s a new party in town this year, and it doesn’t end at midnight. It’ll just be warming up.
Golden New Year’s Eve 2012 will be an eight-hour, indoor dance party at the Scotiabank Convention Centre Niagara featuring renowned DJs Avicii and Steve Aoki, along with Toronto’s Manzone & Strong and Niagara’s Christina Cruise. The music starts at 8 p.m. and goes until 4 a.m.
Unlike the typical rave, the event will have tight security, a dress code and admission starting at $75.
As usual I am spending New Year’s Eve together with my family in Toronto’s Queen Victoria Park overlooking Niagara Falls and I am really looking forward to listening to some great musicians whose performances are on the list this year.
