OLG shake-up may expedite casino lease: Craitor

From Niagara This Week:

A shake-up at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation may help to secure Casino Niagara’s future, says Niagara Falls MPP Kim Craitor.

On Monday, Dwight Duncan, the minister responsible for the OLG, made public expense claim reports and receipts for OLG’s executive and senior-level staff from Jan. 1, 2007, to Dec. 31, 2008, and accepted the resignation of OLG Chair Michael Gough and the entire board of directors.

The first action of the interim board was to end Kelly McDougald’s employment as CEO of the OLG.

“I’m pleased. I’ve always expressed concerns over dealing with the OLG,” said Craitor. “I sometimes felt because it is arm’s length it’s too far away from the community.”
