New Year’s concert is a great promo for city

    From the Niagara Falls Review:

Here’s a New Year’s prediction for 2008 – the show will go on.

When the lights went down on Loverboy at 12:30 a.m., on New Year’s Day, the fate of the annual concert itself was left in the dark.

This was the third year the Niagara Parks Commission ran the New Year’s Eve show.

The parks commission was the white knight after the Winter Festival of Lights dropped the event in 2005 to concentrate on being a lights festival.

That move never quite made sense.
