Niagara Falls Images: Winter 2007

Today is the last day of my first week of daily features (did you follow that?). Every Friday I plan on showcasing some pictures of Niagara Falls. I expect that half of the time it will be pictures that I have taken and posted to my gallery, and the other half of the time will be links to other sites with Niagara Falls images.

I actually thought I’d be a late with this gallery. Last Wednesday we had a brutal snow storm and we ended up with over a foot of snow in one day. I was out the following day and took pictures of all of the snow. But then it warmed up over the weekend and we lost a lot of the snow. Then, wouldn’t you know it, it snowed again last night, so the pictures are still timely. I’ve posted a Niagara Falls in Winter 2007 image gallery. Here is a preview of some of the thumbnails:

  • Looks freezing!

  • These are amazing and beautiful!!! Did I see that the bridal veil falls were almost completely frozen? I caught a shot off of the fallscam that shows that there were two spots on the horseshoe where some of the ice had frozen over the cliff and stopped the flow.

I’ve never seen anything like this…but that was before I found this site!!! Thanks for sharing the things we might never see other wise!!

  • otherwise. : )

  • Looks like my kind of weather!!!

Have lots of photos like these just to prove that we’ve been there during this wonderful season!

  • We have yet to visit when the weather is like this. Hubby wants to be there!! (I do too, but, can I kind of drop in when it looks like that but is 20 degrees warmer?) Our one winter trip a few years ago for the FOL was a bit rainy, but warmish for January, and NO snow at all.

  • BensonsMom,

….just dress in lots of layers and have fun!

Just check the “fallscam” regularly, and when it looks like this, go for it!!!

Sunny days, lots of snow and crystal ice covering the trees…..it’s just God showing off again!!!!
