Skylon Tower work

There is some work going on at the Skylon Tower. I don’t know what it’s for (maybe because of the fire?)…

Niagara SkyWheel work

The other day there was a crane at the Niagara SkyWheel taking the centre hub off the wheel. The wheel is still operational. I wonder what they’re doing…

Waterparks to sleep cheap

From the Niagara Falls Review:

The three waterparks in Niagara Falls are expected to be popular draws in this year’s Sleep Cheap, Charities Reap promotion that gives deeply discounted hotel rooms to Niagara residents.

About 20 hotels in Niagara Falls and a group of charities are teaming up again to raise money for charities by renting rooms for as little as $25. The event started last year as a way for the tourism industry to give back to the community. It will run Nov. 27 to 30. Reservations should be made directly with hotels, which will require proof of residency to get the discounted rate.

It also allows hotel companies to show off their properties to Niagara residents who wouldn’t otherwise visit a hotel in their hometown.
