Back in January I linked to the Ronald Bussink AG web site. They had a press release announcing the Ferris wheel coming to Niagara Falls. Now they have a press release announcing the completion. The details are almost identical to the original press release:

Ronald Bussink Professional Rides has finalized the delivery of a new Giant Wheel type R60 to HOCO Entertainment & Resorts. Together with Chance Morgan based in Wichita, the Giant Wheel Type R60 SV has been manufactured in both the United States and in Europe. The Skywheel is open for public since the second week of June 2006, and has already been a great success.

“The superior design of Ronald Bussink, combined with the manufacturing strength of Chance Morgan, makes the R60 the premier Giant Wheel product available in the market today,” remarked Harry Oakes, HOCO President.

The Giant Gondola Wheel features fully enclosed gondolas for a climate-controlled ride year around. After completion, the ride will be located in the Clifton Hill Area of Niagara Falls, Ontario. It’s slated for installation in the spring of 2006.

The Giant Wheel is part of a 3-phase, $100 million development project expected to take 5 to 10 years to complete.

If you visit the Ronald Bussink AG web site, and click on the News link (the site uses Flash, so I can’t link directly to it), you can then click on the information on the HOCO attraction. There are some nice pictures of the Niagara SkyWheel along with the press release.
