One new restaurant, extra large

From the Niagara Falls Review:

The new Tim Hortons restaurant on Clifton Hill could become the chain’s busiest franchise in the country.

The 5,000-square-foot restaurant opened on the Victoria Day long weekend in May. By comparison, the average Tim Hortons outlet is 3,000 square feet.

An average store serves more than 1,000 people a day, said Harry Oakes, president of HOCO, Ltd. which operates the restaurant. But he expects that number to increase with the hot days of summer.

“We’re hoping for 3,000 to 6,000 people in the summer,” said David Allen, food and beverage manager of the restaurant.

Has anyone eaten here yet? We have Tim Horton’s here in the States but, was curious what they sell what is on their menu. Can you buy a dozen donuts or bagels or just meals. Like here donuts and bagels are about $4 and some change

I’ve been in there once (a couple days after opening). I didn’t buy anything, but the prices looked the exact same to me as any other Timmies. The difference is this Timmies has no drive-thru (that would be a disaster) and is much nicer aesthetically.

As far as I can tell, they sell the same products for the same price. The food is decent, and reasonably priced. I thought it was interesting that the article said the store “will offer a new product line of sandwiches not available at smaller restaurants.” I wonder if they are going to offer submarine sandwiches or something like that.
