Awesome, majestic, romantic — it’s easy to fall for Niagara

From the Orlando Sentinel:

On the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, you can, if you choose, do something fancy.

You can, for example, put on a slicker and ride past the falls on a double-decker Maid of the Mist boat. Or you can choose the Journey Behind the Falls and ride an elevator to view the falls from an observation deck.

You might even settle for merely glimpsing this natural wonder as you make your way through the nearby, carnivallike attractions area known as Clifton Hill.

But on your first visit to Niagara Falls, you really should keep things simple: Just start at one end of the thundering panorama, walk to the other end and then walk back.

Take it CHEESY

From the Orlando Sentinel:

Ah, the thundering falls of Niagara!

Powerful. Majestic. Inspiring.

And yet, just yards away from all that natural beauty lies what some would refer to as an attractions area and others would call a tourist trap.

Whatever it is, it’s so off-the-charts cheesy that it makes the dizzying sprawl of Orlando’s I-Drive look as tidy as Walt Disney World, and Walt Disney World seem as classy as the Champs-Elysees.

It is known as Clifton Hill, but we will call it Cheesy Falls.
