Who owes what to whom?

    When the gleaming Niagara Fallsview Casino held its grand opening in the spring of last year, it was heralded by some dignitaries at the gala event as a new Wonder of the World, one that would continue the Honeymoon Capital’s unprecedented economic boom.

    More than a year later, the 30-storey tower of the casino gleams as brightly. But to some locals, the sheen on the megaproject appears to have hit a snag: the province of late has been raking in less money with four commercial casinos than before the $1 billion Fallsview Casino opened its doors with much fanfare.

    But some locals residents and politicians are more concerned bout what happened to promised tourism projects that were supposed to be built as part of the winning bid by Falls Management Co., one of several constortiums competing for the lucrative project, to finance, build and operate the casino.
