This isn’t anything terrbily exciting, but I liked it, so I figured I’d share it. The other day I was walking through the Thriftlodge at the Falls parking lot (on CLifton Hill) and saw this little green glow-in-the-dark (I assume it is) sign. I guess seeing a little alien would make you slow down
From the Niagara Falls Review: The plan has been talked about for years. The goal is to reduce congestion in the area of the Horseshoe Falls. The plan calls for the relocation of the Niagara Parkway to the west just south of Table Rock. Residents had an opportunity to view the plan, along with two [...]
The parking lot on the south side of the new Wyndham Garden was recently paved. The web site says it is opening in April 2012, so if it isn’t open yet, it should be opening very soon.
The Scotiabank Convention Centre has been open just short of a year now, and on Friday night I had the opportunity to go for the first time. We went to see the Busytown Busy show with our kids. I’ll write about that later, but for now, here are a few thoughts. The convention centre is [...]
The new Mac’s convenience store location (former 7-Eleven) is almost ready to open. The gas bar is in place, the store looks stocked, and the parking lot has one layer of pavement on it.

Yesterday afternoon I went to Marineland with my family. We were there a month or so ago, but before that it had been a couple of years. I was surprised at how busy it was on a Tuesday afternoon. The parking lot certainly wasn’t full (if you haven’t been, their parking lot is HUGE), but [...]
From the Buffalo News: Mickey Singh can look out the window of his family’s Niagara Street restaurant and measure the kind of day he’s going to have by the number of cars in the parking lot across the street. If cars are packed in like sardines and wrapped around the One Niagara building, he knows [...]
From the Niagara Falls Review: The last time bikers invaded Niagara Falls, tensions were high between police and Hells Angels members from across Canada. Eight years later, the roar of Harleys won’t be quite as ominous as bikers gather for Father’s Day weekend in June. The first annual Niagara Biker Rally aims to bring motorcycle [...]
