At the same time that the Murray Hill Starbucks was being renovated, the one inside the Skylon Tower was also being renovated. It has now reopened.
I have previously posted about some renovations going on at the Starbucks on Murray St and the one inside the Skylon Tower. With regards to the one outside, I couldn’t tell if it was still going to be a Starbucks, or if it was changing. Well, it looks like they’ve just been updating it to the latest colours and style.
I’ve posted a few pictures of the progress (here, here and here) on the repainting of the Ripley’s Moving Theater building. The other day I noticed that Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks across the street on Victoria Ave has been painted as well. I’m not sure that I’m a fan of the new colour scheme.
The other day I tweeted that the outside of Ripley’s was being painted. As I was looking for some logos for the Ripley’s visit postings, I came across the website for a graphic designer in Orlando who has done a few mock-ups of what it would look like. I don’t know which one they are going to use (if any), but they look good. None of them look like the colour that it is being painted.
Here is an animated gif of the concepts. Please click through to the Melody Matheny website to see static larger images.
The new and improved Outback Steakhouse that had closed, and then re-opened, has received a new exterior paint scheme around the entire building. It now looks a lot more inviting and fresher compared to the old gray color.
