I hadn’t even heard about this until I read this article…
From the Niagara Falls Review:
It was William Kircher’s second visit to Canada.
The New Zealand actor, best known for his role as the dwarf Bifur in the The Hobbit trilogy, was one of the celebrity guests at the inaugural Fan World event held jointly in Niagara Falls, Ont. and Niagara Falls, N.Y.
“I went to a fan convention in Winnipeg. It was a little chilly and grey,” he recalled Saturday as he signed autographs for fans at the Canadian venue at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
“Niagara Falls is fantastic. Such a beautiful place. I’m making my wife jealous right now because she’s still in New Zealand and when you see Niagara Falls, you really should see it with a loved one.”
Kircher enjoys meeting with fans of his work.
“It’s an adventure for me. I travel all over the world.”
Last week I received the latest email from the Skylon Tower
“A new zip-line attraction and aerial adventure course is coming to Niagara Falls.
The Niagara Parks Commission announced Tuesday it received provincial approval to enter into an agreement with Niagara Adventure Excursions Inc., to develop and operate the new attractions at the Grand View Marketplace and Thompson Point locations along the Niagara Pkwy., starting in 2016.”

Having grown up in a small town near Niagara Falls, it seemed like the perfect choice for a quick weekend trip away from Toronto. I was already somewhat familiar with the city, but had never really indulged in all its great touristy adventures.
