From the Niagara Falls Review:
Safari Niagara will be welcoming some unexpected guests this summer.
Following June’s devastating floods in Calgary, the Alberta city’s zoo put out a call to registered members of Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums — a nonprofit organization promoting the welfare of animals — to help temporarily relocate 34 animals while the grounds are repaired.
The Stevensville-based zoo answered quickly and said Monday they will be receiving five Goeldi’s monkeys, four Amazon parrots and two white-handed gibbons, one named Tunku who has lived at the Calgary Zoo for a few decades.
