New traffic lights being installed at the Victoria Ave. and Walnut St. intersection will give drivers another exit when leaving Casino Niagara and make it easier for the new Wego buses to make the turn.
Two traffic lights already exist nearby on Victoria Ave., one at Bender Hill and the other on Clifton Hill.
“It’s a one-way exit only. You can only come out of the casino and it’s there to accommodate the Wego system,” said Karl Dren, the city’s director of transportation services.
“The intent was to bring the buses through the casino, as one of the major stops so that maybe people can even go between casinos, or for people in general to just hop on the Wego, they can pick up a spot right there.”
