Upsurge in class trips is sought for Falls

From the Buffalo News:

Niagara County’s tourism promotion agency is planning a stepped-up effort to bring more class trips by middle and high school students to Niagara Falls.

Officials of Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. discussed the plans with hotel and attraction owners at the agency’s quarterly marketing meeting, held last week in the Holiday Inn Lockport.

“Even when everyone else doesn’t travel, when their kids travel, [parents] find a way to send them. And they usually have pretty good budgets,” said Deborah L. Duerr, director of tourism sales for the agency.
