A trip to the Great Wolf Lodge is the ideal family getaway!

About a month ago I wrote about the Business Link Niagara newspaper articles about the Great Wolf Lodge. The February 2006 issue is now out, and it has an article about RDIF (that’s what the article calls it, but it is more commonly called RFID).

Mom and Dad need not worry about the kids — while enjoying some well-deserved down time of their own, parents can rest assured that their children are safe thanks to RDIF technology.

RDIF tags are specially coded wristbands that send information to transmitters over radio frequencies. Each child at Great Wolf Lodge will receive a wristband that will register him or her as a guest of the resort. Children will be able to access the waterpark and other hotel amenities simply by showing their wristbands. While they will not be able to make purchases on their parents’ behalf (good news for Mom and Dad), they will be able to get snacks or use the arcade with parental consent.

You can read the entire article on the Business Link Niagara web site.
