Welcome to the big country

Dominic Ryan of the Scotsman, visited Ontario and included in his report are his thoughts on Niagara Falls:

There are still so many places to see in wider Ontario, and nowhere better to start than Niagara Falls. The drive to Canada’s top tourist spot takes only an hour.

The most exciting way to see the spectacle of nearly three million litres of water flowing every second over the precipitous brink is from a flying fishbowl: Niagara Helicopters will whisk passengers on a tour that offers picture opportunities while hanging over the thundering chasm.

There is, of course, a more sedate vantage-point on the walkway, at Table Rock, where, drenched by eternal mist, a perfect rainbow envelops the scene.
