February Clifton Hill Resorts Update newsletter

The February 2006 issue of the Clifton Hill Resorts Update newsletter is out. It is as lengthy as always, and contains the same basic information.

I don’t understand why they don’t have more variety in the newsletter. Generally speaking, as a regular consumer, once I’ve received a few newsletter and see that nothing changes, I unsubscribe. Of course I will stay subscribed though, so I can pass along the information you you

At least this month they finally mention the new developments:

Some time ago many of our Update subscribers participated in a survey about a new Clifton Hill Attraction (Giant Wheel concept). Well, the construction crews are hard at work and the Giant Wheel will be ready for a late May launch.

During the construction phase, the Quality Inn will be closed on some dates in order to reconfigure the entranceways and parking areas. One 12-room section of the Hotel will come down along with the Golden Griddle. However, the Quality Inn with 251 rooms and other amenities will open for March Break for your enjoyment.

For the interim, we invite you to experience the hospitality of our adjacent Comfort Inn (specials noted in the newsletter)

In our next Update, we will announce the Giant Wheel’s name and more exciting details.

It’s nice that HOCO finally shared a bit of information, but there is no mention of the retail building, including Tim Hortons. The Great Wolf Lodge has all sorts of pictures showing the progress of construction, but HOCO totally ignores it on their Comfort Inn Clifton Hill, Quality Inn Clifton Hill, and HOCO Limited web sites. Obviously they have different philosophies on what information to share. I think the best idea is to share the information. People will find out anyway, and you might as well give them the information from the source.
