    From the Buffalo News:

Beginning today, the TD Rink at the Brink, the outdoor ice-skating rink next to Table Rock House overlooking the Horseshoe Falls, will extend its operating hours for the holiday season.

The rink will be open from noon to 10 p.m. daily through Jan. 5, except on Christmas Eve, when hours are noon to 6 p.m., and Christmas Day, when the rink will be closed.

New winter tradition: Skate by the falls

    From the Niagara Falls Review:

Outdoor skating near the brink of Niagara Falls could become an “iconic” winter attraction the way it has in New York City’s Central Park and Rockefeller Center, says Winter Festival of Lights manager Dino Fazio.

The festival is firming up arrangements for the Rink at the Brink, an outdoor skating rink near Table Rock House right next to the Horseshoe Falls.

“It’s for real. We’re still working on dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s. We just have a few things that have to be finalized,” Fazio said Wednesday.

His organization expects to formally announce the rink project in late September.
