    From the Buffalo News:

The Canadian side of Niagara Falls is famous for its view. And rightly so. The roar, the colored lights, the wide-eyed tourists from all over the world — where do you find words for it?

How do you describe Clifton Hill?

On this famed tourist promenade, people from all over the world gather to goof off. Arcade games abound. Carnival barkers bawl from the funhouses. “There is no turning back! It will make your blood curdle!”

Passing the 70,000-square-foot Dinosaur Adventure Golf, the largest miniature golf course in Canada, you can’t help but be enthralled by the elaborate, lifelike figures — a ferocious T-Rex, a big, dumb brontosaurus.

Dino Rampage, the ride simulator on Victoria Avenue has been closed for a while, but just the other day they finally took down the signs and the t-rex head. I had meant to go and give it a try, but never did.

I wonder what is going into that space…

    From a WebWire press release:

Legendary Niagara Falls, Canada is now home to a spectacular, one-of-a-kind attraction that should be experienced first hand to fully appreciate: Dinosaur Adventure Golf. www.cliftonhill.com/attractions/dinosaur-adventure-golf

As one of the nation’s largest miniature golf courses, Dinosaur Adventure Golf features two 18-hole courses (“Raptor” and “T-Rex”); 3 distinct decorative ponds with fast-moving rapids and bubblers; and a 50 foot high “active” steam-erupting volcano that lets golfers play directly through a realistically eerie, cavernous volcanic interior on their way to the 18th hole.

All of this is spread out over a massive 70,000 square foot playing surface, and populated by 50 astonishingly realistic and life-sized dinosaurs — many which loom over 30 feet high.

Dinosaur Adventure Golf March 2011 update

First off, let’s start with the old Dinosaur Park Miniature Golf that was right beside the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill. It has been slowly dismantled over the last few months. Since I was last there, the booth is now gone.

They have also dug up a lot of the holes.

The booth for the new courses is taking shape. A nice pterodactyl is sitting on top of it.

There is a new T-Rex out on the course that looks awesome!

The storage area also has a couple of other new dinosaurs out. A woolly mammoth has been put together, as well as a stegosaurus.

It looks like it is going to be a great course!
