    An American police marine unit that patrols the upper Niagara River says too many boaters and people on personal watercraft are getting too close to the brink of Niagara Falls.

    New York State Park Police Lt. Clyde Doty tells WGRZ-TV in Buffalo (http://on.wgrz.com/2feIsBJ ) that people put their lives at risk when they ignore buoys and warning signs on the river.

    A team consisting of Niagara Falls Police, Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies and New York State Police participated Saturday in the International Police Tug-Of-War against the Niagara Regional Police from Canada, held at the international border line at the center of the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

    Niagara Falls State Park attraction admission scam leads to arrests

    New York State Park Police have charged six people in connection with a scam that involved the theft and re-sale of tickets from both the Cave of the Winds and the Maid of the Mist attractions.

    Their arrests were announced on Friday after an investigation that included assistance from the New York State Police.

    Park Police investigators said they discovered an organized ring of individuals that were stealing Discovery Pass tickets.
