Facade work on new Ma Agretto’s building

The new building that is going up at the corner of Ellen Ave and Centre St (former Ma Agretto’s building) has some nice stone work on the front now. Overall, the building seems to be progressing quite slowly. I wonder how long it will be before it is open.

Jack’s Cantina burned down

I haven’t included any articles about this, but you may have heard that Jack’s Cantina burned down. This was a small restaurant beside Spicy Olive, on Centre St (at the top of Clifton Hill) at the corner of Ellen Ave. It burned down while I was on vacation. Here is what it looks like now….

Notice of Application and Public Meeting regarding Ma Agretto’s Spaghetti House

(I thought I had posted this, but hadn’t) This sign for a notice of meeting was up outside Ma Agretto’s Spaghetti House at the corner of Ellen Ave and Centre St. Apparently someone wants to build a restaurant there (and I presume on the empty lots next to it). I hadn’t heard that.
