Walking Tour of new food outlets and attractions on Clifton Hill

On Saturday I walked along Victoria Avenue and then into the new Clifton Hill Courtyard to show the work that has been done. As I mention in the video, it is hard to believe there used to be a hotel there!
Anyway, if you haven’t had a chance to come down to the Falls yet, then check out the video. You can see some of the work that is going on around the Niagara Speedway go-kart track, see the Kelsey’s patio, the new Zombie Attack attraction, the new games building and more.

Niagara Falls Hotel Changes Gears for GranFondo Bike Ride

    From Travel.BroadwayWorld.com:

Cycling is a solo venture, but there’s something to be said about riding alongside friends with some beautiful scenery in the background. The GranFondo, modeled after Europe’s mass-participation cycling events, aims to bring that experience to Canada, with the inaugural GranFondo Niagara Falls, sponsored by the Courtyard Niagara Falls.

This year’s race, on September 14th, follows the success of 2010’s ride in Whistler. Thousands of cyclists will gather at the start/finish line at the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, just minutes from this hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario, to set off on the 125-kilometre route.

More progress at Dinosaur Park Adventure Golf

For the longest time, the only work that was happening at the future site of Dinosaur park Adventure Golf (behind Niagara SkyWheel on Clifton Hill) was on the big volcano. The only other work I saw was that they started to pour concrete for the holes.

As indicated previously, I was on vacation for a while, and didn’t make it to Niagara Falls the whole time. Well, I can’t believe how much has been done. Wow! It looks like almost all of the holes have been poured. They’ve also taken out the grassy area and the trees/plants and dug it al up. There is now fencing that goes almost all the way to the back of Canada Trading Company/Tim Hortons. The sign for Dinosaur Park that was in the courtyard area is also gone.
