    Wild Side are a Niagara Falls-based hardcore band who released their debut album, Who the Hell is Wild Side?, in May on Triple B Records. The band are dedicated to the pretty and the gritty sides of their hometown. Vocalist Brandon MacFarlane describes Niagara Falls as “a strange, lovely, dangerous and exciting place,” and shared with us where to find some of those experiences.

    Final Tragically Hip show to be broadcast in Queen Victoria Park

    Add Queen Victoria Park to the list of places across Niagara where Tragically Hip fans can go to see the band’s final show.

    The CBC’s Tragically Hip: A National Celebration will be shown Saturday, Aug. 20 on two large screens in the park overlooking the Horseshoe and American falls.

    Admission is free.

    Calling all music makers.

    The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) is looking for local bands to perform during its annual Coca-Cola Concert series that takes place over the tourist season from the Victoria Day long weekend through to Labour Day.

    Set times are from 8 to 10 p.m., Friday, Sunday and on holidays.
