Canadian Memories retail store

This isn’t terribly exciting, but I thought I’d pass along that one of the retail stores on Victoria Avenue (beside the new Little Caesars) has a new sign up and the store is called Canadian Memories. I’m not sure how long it has had this name, but it wasn’t there last Fall.

Niagara Falls Question: What is the biggest eyesore next to the Falls?

I’ve heard quite a bit of news stories lately about Starbucks, and how in China they are setting up shop in areas that many people don’t like. They even have a location inside the Forbidden City. It made me think about Niagara Falls and leads me to this week’s question: What is the biggest eyesore…

        Hilton expansion progress

The work seems to be moving along quickly at the corner of Fallsview Blvd and Murray Hill where the Hilton is expanding. They’ve dug down a couple of stories, and now are preparing the foundation. That’s a lot of rebar!

Replacement store where Circus World was located

The store where Circus World used to be located on Victoria Avenue has been divided in half and now one half has a small store in it. It doesn’t seem like anything too special.

From Niagara This Week: A growing city skyline may represent new investment in the city, confidence, and create an attractive tourism core seen by visitors travelling along the QEW, but it doesn’t come without its challenges. The city’s skyline will be getting taller as the Hilton Hotel on Fallsview Boulevard expands with a 52-storey hotel…

                  Development on Stanley Avenue?

This is probably nothing, but right beside the Diplomat Inn on Stanley Avenue there is a lot of dirt. It’s an empty lot. I don’t know if anyone is leveling the ground preparing it for a future development, or if it just a temporary place to put the dirt from some other development.

Things to do in Niagara Falls: Skylon Tower Fun Centre

This is the last of my series on the arcades in Niagara Falls. I previously covered the Great Canadian Midway and Marvel Super Heroes Adventure City. Today I will be posting about the Skylon Tower Fun Centre. Probably the biggest problem with the Skylon Tower Fun Centre is that it is so big. If the…
