“Drowsey & Olga”

This is one of the stranger things I’ve seen about Niagara Falls. There are two different web sites that had a posting about a trip to Niagara Falls. The thing is… it is told as if it is a black bra and a doll talking. You have to see it to understand it (it is all safe for work).

Sis made sure the girls were safely buckled in. After that they were so quiet we didn’t give them much thought until we pulled into the Tim Horton’s drive thru … and the girl who handed us our order gave our 2 passengers in the back seat a funny look.

Niagara Falls >> Sonny’s Area

Someone with his own web site/blog has posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls. It is a very lengthy and thorough posting:

The next day, we checked out of our hotel and took a 4-hour drive to Niagara Falls. We arrived there at about 2:30 or so. We went on this amazing jet boat ride an hour earlier than it was scheduled to be, because we where ready as soon as the 3:00 people where leaving and there just happens to be an open spot for us. Before we left, I was looking at some pictures of the ride. Because of the pictures, I was totally freaked out. It looked SO scary!! I didn’t really know what to expect, but I did expect to get soaked. My mum and dad had only told us we where going in a jet boat ride and we’d get soaked. No more detail included.

We just went away overnight, but it was very refreshing. We spent Thursday at Niagara Falls. If you have never visited Niagara Falls, you are definitely missing something amazing. We’ve been three or four other times ourselves (and James probably countless times beyond that), but we enjoy it so much every time we go. It kinda felt like we were on our honeymoon. :)

Someone with a blogger blog posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls:

Gord and I went to Niagara Falls today. It was a Single Horizons event and there were 55 of us on the bus.

Gord and I tried the computerized roulette game … it was good because the minimum bet is only $2 (compared to $15 at the tables). I played and lost $40.

Then we walked to the Falls. Alas, it was raining so we didn’t go too close.

Niagara natural wonders

From the Juneau (Alaska) Empire:

We had no trouble finding the Sheridan Fallsview Hotel; it sat on top of a cliff above the Canadian falls.

The Ryens and Tina insisted that we ask for a falls side room. Our falls side room was on the 19th floor and had floor to ceiling windows that at first made me woozy, but I soon adjusted.

The falls were spectacular! The Canadian side is more spectacular than the American side. The Canadian falls rush over a gigantic curved rock outcropping and rainbows constantly highlight the falls. Millions of gallons of water continuously spill over Niagara Falls.

We took the funicular down the cliff to the Canadian falls, admired the falls and the rainbows, took photos and were sprayed with mist at times. Tourists from all over the world travel to see Niagara Falls.

Someone with their own website posted an old picture of her family in one of those “going over the falls in a barrel” sets:

This was my first trip to Niagara Falls. This photo booth was on Clifton Hill and was set up as this creepy plastic half barrel, that you stood behind and pretended that you were getting your picture taken, as you plummet over the Falls.

Someone with a Typepad blog posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls (including pictures):

Our day at Niagara Falls was awesome- the weather was perfect. It was low 70’s and sunny, along with a bright blue sky. We parked near the Fallsview Casino and headed towards the Falls and the Table Rock area. I took a ton of pictures, but I picked a dozen (or two) of my favorites. We were going to go on the Maid of the Mist, but we didn’t want to chance getting wet from the mist with it being in the low 70’s. We walked all along the Falls, and then up Clifton Hill, and then back to the Fallsview Casino area. I like the Canadian side of the Falls better- the view is amazing, plus there are so many beautiful flowers and landscaped areas on the Canadian side.

Someone with a Blogger blog posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls:

Went to Clifton Hill which is an area of many tourist attractions. Went on the 4D movie ride. It was so much fun. We felt like we were driving monster trucks. When we hit the water, water sprayed on us. Then, we rode snow mobiles and it got very cold and it started snowing on us!

Niagara Falls & Clifton Hill was great, makes me feel like to kid when I visit every few years. Went on the Maid of the Mist ride for the first time, and I must have spent 3 hours in the arcade, minimum.

Falling for Flowers in Niagara

Motor Home Magazine had an article recently about Niagara Falls and the many gardens:

If ever there was a place to stop and smell the roses, lilacs, lavender and hundreds of other blossoms, it’s Niagara Falls.

Upon arriving at the famous cascades, my wife, Lian, and I, like many other RVers, began debating the best way to experience the falls and the rapids. We could view them from boat, helicopter, platforms above and below, tunnel behind, various towers, boardwalk, cable car, Ferris wheel and even at an IMAX theater. Toll-free viewing points at the railings are all-time favorites at this busy spot though gazing from behind the misty windshield of a motorhome is always a possibility despite tangles of summer traffic. That’s all in addition to visiting historic sites, theme parks and the usual assortment of amusements.
